PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and accurately measure the tensile strength of a sand mold.SOLUTION: A columnar sand mold test piece 8 is molded by filling a sand mold material into a cylindrical test piece molding tool 7 that is formed by vertically interconnecting an upper cylinder 2, an intermediate cylinder 3, and a lower cylinder 4. The sand mold test piece 8 is set to a tensile test machine together with the test piece molding tool 7. Then, the intermediate cylinder 3 is decomposed and separated from the test piece molding tool 7 to expose the intermediate part 8a of the sand mold test piece 8. Then, a tensile load is charged on the intermediate part 8a via the upper cylinder 2 and the lower cylinder 4. |
