PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology in which an image is recorded by ejecting photo hardening liquid from a record head onto a successive medium constructed by connecting a plurality of media with connecting members, the image is hardened by photoirradiation, and contact between a part where the connecting members are arranged and the record head and remaining of an unhardened image are prevented.SOLUTION: It is detected that a connecting member reaches a detection position at the upstream side on a transportation pathway relatively to a record unit. Recording action is terminated after the detection time and, until at least liquid which has been ejected onto the successive medium at the termination time point of the record action is hardened, the successive medium is transported and then transportation of the successive medium is terminated at transportation termination time. In a case where there is liquid attached on a region of the successive medium present in a position opposing to the record head on the transportation path at the detection time, second distance as distance from the detection position to the record head along with the transportation path is longer than first distance as transportation distance upon the successive medium is transported until the liquid is hardened by at least a photoirradiation part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
