It is described a monitor and control system (300) comprising: an input/output module (309) structured to receive data/information associated with a power generation system (300); a human-machine interface device (307) connected to the input/output module (309) and configured to display a plurality of different view types representing different visualizations of the data/information and an operator interface application software module (322) configured to run on said human-machine interface device (307) and structured to: visualize a first view associated with a first view type by a first visualization process, and visualize a second view associated with a second view type different from the first view type by a second visualization process independent from the first process.
