PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of preventing dew condensation in a spring housing part for covering a spring mounted on a rotary shaft part of a vertical wind direction plate even when width in the horizontal direction of a body is reduced in air conditioner whose vertical wind direction plate is enlarged in size.SOLUTION: An air conditioner has a suction port at an upper part of a body 10 and an air outlet 12 at a lower part, and includes a vertical wind direction plate 60 which is rotatably attached to the air outlet 12. The air conditioner includes: rotary shaft parts 62a and 62b formed on both side ends of the vertical wind direction plate 60; a motor connected to the rotary shaft part 62b on one side end and making the vertical wind direction plate 60 rotate; a spring mounted on the rotary shaft part 62a on the other side end and energizing the vertical wind direction plate 60 in a direction for closing the air outlet 12; and a box-like spring housing part 64 for covering the rotary shaft part 62a on the other side end and the spring. The spring housing part 64 is arranged so as to be exposed in an air passage, and an outside wall 641 of the spring housing part 64 is made to incline toward the other side end of the vertical wind direction plate 60 as it goes downstream side of the air passage. |
