PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate-like body for a vehicle window with a framework which has favorable assembling performance and high durability even though a decorative member is attached to a resin framework after molded, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: In a plate-like body 10 for a vehicle window with a framework, a caulked part of a boss 22 is inserted inward from the outside of a mounting part 28 of a decorative member 16 so that a head 36 of a base end of the boss 22 is abutted on a peripheral part outside the mounting part 28 of the decorative member 16. The caulked part of the boss 22 is inserted into a hole 26 of a resin framework 14 from the outside and projected inside to fit a washer 32 into the caulked part. A caulked part 30 is heated and melted to form the caulking part by pressing a heating chip 34 to the caulked part of the projected boss 22. After that, the heating chip 34 is retracted from the boss 22. In this way, the decorative member 16 is brought into close contact with the resin framework 14 through the boss 22 so that the decorative member 16 is firmly assembled in the resin framework 14. |
