Provided are an image processing device capable of balancing highly accurate filtering processing and required storage space reduction, an image processing method, a program, and a recording medium. An image processing device 35 is equipped with a filtering processing unit 41 for performing image filter processing including multiple instances of filtering processing. During each instance of filtering processing, the filtering processing unit 41 obtains filter application processing data by applying a filter to data to be processed, and obtains gain application processing data by applying a gain to the filter application processing data. The gain applied to the filter application processing data during each instance of filtering processing is obtained on the basis of frequency properties targeted by image filter processing determined according to pixel position in raw image data. |
