PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction machine in which deformation of the housing can be suppressed.SOLUTION: An original table 206, on which an original is mounted, is disposed to face the bottom face 204 of the housing 203 of an image reading section 200. Between the original table 206 and the bottom face 204 of the housing 203, a carriage 207 for supporting a CIS unit movably along the bottom face 204 of the housing 203 is provided. In order to guide the movement of the carriage 207, the housing 203 is provided with a guide rail 210. Upper part of an image formation unit 305 is covered with a cover 301. The cover 301 has a higher strength than the housing 203. The bottom face 204 of the housing 203 and the cover 301 are arranged to overlap in the vertical direction with a gap 321. |
