PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method and a control device for an image display system including an image display device capable of automatically clearing or re-displaying a cursor corresponding to each external device.SOLUTION: An image display system includes an image display device and external devices. The image display device displays cursors corresponding to the respective external devices, and changes display attributes of a cursor corresponding to an external device when the external device is not operated (step 764), clears the corresponding cursor a predetermined time later when the external device is still not operated (step 746), but puts the corresponding cursor back to its original display attributes if the external device is tilted within the predetermined time. Consequently, display states of cursors of external devices which are not operated can be gradually changed, so the user can predict timing of clearing of a cursor so as to perform suitable operation. |
