PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a composite part which achieves both good bondability of joints and the surface hardness of portions requiring strength.SOLUTION: A method of producing a composite part by joining a steel-made part, using a steel material added with Cr and a coarse grain formation preventive element, with another part includes a lattice defect introduction step, a carburization step and a joining step, performed on the steel-made part in this order. In the lattice defect introduction step, a site 64 of the steel-made part 60 to be joined with another part is cold-worked before joining. This makes the number of lattice defects in the part more than those in other parts. In the carburization step, a carburization treatment is applied to the steel-made part after the lattice defect introduction step in an oxidative atmosphere. In the joining step, the site 64, planned for joining, of the steel-made part after the carburization step is joined with another part. |
