PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a reduction in image quality due to a sudden change in environment.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 performs electrophotographic image forming processing. The image forming apparatus 100 includes a temperature sensor 12, humidity sensor 13, cleaning device, and control unit 10. The temperature sensor 12 and humidity sensor 13 detect the temperature and humidity inside the image forming apparatus 100 every predetermined time. The cleaning device cleans a discharge electrode of a main charger 2A. The control unit 10 causes the cleaning device to perform cleaning when there is a sudden change in the temperature and humidity detected by the temperature sensor 12 and humidity sensor 13. |
