PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce leakage magnetic field of a linear motor.SOLUTION: A linear motor 2 comprises a movable element 10 that can move in a first direction, and a stator 20. A yoke 22 has a pair of back yokes 22a and 22b provided opposed to each other so as to sandwich the movable element 10 from a second direction vertical to the first direction. A plurality of field magnets 24 are provided in the first direction on an inner lateral face S1 of each of the pair of back yokes 22. A pair of auxiliary magnets 26a (26b) are provided (i) on end part lateral faces S2 of the back yokes 22a (22b) and (ii) in the vicinity of endmost field magnets 24a' provided in the back yokes 22a (22b). A magnetic body member 30 is provided so as to surround the pair of auxiliary magnets 26a and 26b. |
