PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform solid-liquid separation even when a difference in solid-liquid density is non-existent.SOLUTION: A solid-liquid separation apparatus 1 has a constitution in which there are disposed: means 5 for generating stationary standing sound waves and means 6A and 6B for generating mobile standing sound waves, in order from an upstream side in a flow channel 4 that distributes stock solution 2; and a concentration particle take-out port 7 on a downstream side thereof. When carrying out solid-liquid separation processing, the stock solution 2 is supplied to the flow channel 4 from the upstream side. Particles 3 in the stock solution 2 are captured in a node 12 of the stationary standing sound wave 11 generated by the means 5 for generating the stationary standing sound wave, and then agglutinated to increase in particle diameter in order to become a particle group 3a. Thereafter, the particle group 3a, in accordance with periodic variation from one flow channel wall 8a side to the other flow channel wall 8b side of a node 16 of a mobile standing sound wave 15 generated by the means 6A and 6B for generating the mobile standing sound wave, is moved to the other flow channel wall 8b side to concentrate, and the particle group 3a concentrated near the other flow channel wall 8b is taken out through the concentration particle take-out port 7 together with a portion of the liquid and thereby separated from clear liquid 17 guided to a downstream section of the flow channel 4. |
