PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm capable of distinguishing between alarm stop and alarm release, and a control method thereof.SOLUTION: Each of fire alarms 10a to 10d includes: a fire determination unit 14a which determines a fire on the basis of signals from sensors 11 to 13; an alarm unit 15 which sounds a fire alarm, when the occurrence of a fire is determined by the fire determination unit 14a or the occurrence of a fire is determined by other fire alarms 10a to 10d; and a stop processing unit 14b which, when a fire alarm is sounded by the alarm unit 15, stops the alarm for a prescribed time in response to a prescribed first operation. The alarm unit 15 stops the sounded fire alarm, when determining that the fire has calmed down to release an alert state. When it is not determined that the alert state is released, the alarm unit 15 outputs information indicating that the alert state continues in response to a prescribed second operation performed in the prescribed time in which the fire alarm is stopped by the stop processing unit 14b. |
