摘要 A hybrid propulsion system (100) for a vehicle is described which includes a transmission device (114) for transmitting torque to a first at least one drive wheel (120), a first electric energy conversion device (116) coupled to an input of the transmission device (116), a second electric energy conversion device (124) for transmitting torque to a second at least one drive wheel (130), and a control system (122). During a vehicle speed control operation where a speed of the vehicle is maintained at a desired speed, in response to acceleration resulting in vehicle speed beyond the desired speed, the acceleration not caused by vehicle operator input, the control system is operative to vary torque output of at least one of the first electric energy conversion device (114) and the second electric energy conversion device (124) to provide brake torque to at least one of the first at least one drive wheel (120) and the second at least one drive wheel (130) to decelerate the vehicle to the desired speed, selection of said one of the first (114) and second (124) electric energy conversion device being based on an operating condition.
