The invention relates to a method for mounting a fitting of a window or of a door, in which the fitting has two tooth systems (12, 13, 17, 18), which are to be brought into engagement with one another, on fitting parts (1, 2) which are to be coupled to one another, wherein a first of the fitting parts (2) can be tilted with respect to the second fitting part (1), the fitting parts (1, 2) which are to be coupled and which comprise the tooth systems (12, 13, 17, 18) are guided towards one another and are brought into bearing contact and then the tooth systems (12, 13, 17, 18) are brought into engagement with one another by means of a pivoting movement. Simple and reliable coupling is to be achieved even given a small installation space in that the first fitting part (2) has a U-shaped engagement portion over which a holding leg (21) partially engages. |
