PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly control an inverter even when power supply to a control circuit of the inverter is lost, while suppressing increase in device scale.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine drive device comprises: a connection blocking unit 1 for blocking connection between a control terminal 3g of a switching element 3 of an inverter and an inverter control unit 81, in a low voltage power supply interruption state where power supply from a low voltage DC power supply to the inverter control unit 81 is interrupted; a backup control unit 2 for generating a backup control signal BS for controlling the switching element 3 of the inverter so as to be in an ON state, in the low voltage power supply interruption state; a backup power supply unit which is configured so as to take power based on a high voltage DC power supply as a power source, and supplies the power to the backup control unit 2; and a connection unit 5 to which, between the connection blocking unit 1 and the control terminal 3g, a signal line for transmitting the backup control signal BS is connected. |
