Coulometric humidity sensor and corresponding method

The track moisture measuring device (1) has a voltage source (9), a track moisture sensor (2) and a current measuring device. Two electrodes (4,5) are in contact with hygroscopic material. The two electrodes of the track moisture sensor are connected with the voltage source. The pole change device is provided or the voltage source is formed as alternating current voltage source, in order to vary a polarity of the voltage. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring track moisture.
