The present invention relates to equipment for a deep-drawing press with secure raising of the cam slide. According to the invention, the upper frame of the equipment comprises a control unit (9) that is able to come into contact with the first slide (5) in order to lower it vertically during the descent of the upper frame towards the lower frame (3) and the first slide (5) comprises a controlled member (13) that makes it possible to lock the slide (5) to the control unit (9) of the upper frame when the latter reaches more or less its bottom dead centre, the locking member (13) being held in its position of locking the slide (5) to the control unit (9) during the raising of the upper frame. The invention finds application in the manufacture of sheet metal parts of motor vehicles.
