[Class 44] [Also in Group XXXVI] The parent invention is modified by arranging the stop or stops at the trailing end of the tongue to lock with the entry aperture wall of the socket. The flat tongue 21 enters a slot 11 inclined to the plane of the springs 9, 10 and forces these apart until a notch or recess in the tongue coincides with the slot whereupon the springs slightly rotate the tongue. The shoulder formed by the recess now engages the edge of the slot to lock the tongue against withdrawal, the two parts being releasable by a reverse twisting movement. A spring plunger in the socket may be actuated by the leading end of the tongue to effect the ejection of the latter when unlocked. |
