摘要 An image processing system in which a client apparatus transmits RAW image data to a server apparatus, receives a result developed by the server apparatus, and displays onto a display area. The client apparatus reduces the RAW image data to a size suitable to display, transmits to the server apparatus, and requests a development processing. The client apparatus also starts a transmission processing of original RAW image data to the server apparatus. While making adjustment of the development processing to reduced RAW image data, the client apparatus and the server apparatus execute a transmission and reception processing of the original RAW image data in parallel therewith. After the development processing of the reduced RAW image data, if there is a request from the client apparatus, the server apparatus also executes the development processing of the original RAW image data.

A server apparatus connected to a client apparatus through a network, comprising: a processor; and a memory storing a program which, when executed by the processor causes the server apparatus to: receive first image data and second image data from the client apparatus, wherein the first image data is corresponding to the second image data a size of the second image data is larger than that of the first image data, and the second image data is received completely later than the first image data is received completely; execute image processing on the first image data using an adjustment value before the second image data is received completely; transmit a result of the image processing of the first image data to the client apparatus; and start executing the image processing on the second image data in accordance with the adjustment value used for the image processing of the first image data when the second image data is received completely after the result of the image processing of the first image data is transmitted to the client apparatus.
