The component has an impeller (1), and a split ring (2), where a part of the split ring is connected to a housing when assembling the pump. An auxiliary connecting element (3) is provided between the impeller and the split ring or inside the split ring, where the auxiliary connecting element is designed as a predetermined breaking point. The predetermined breaking point breaks when abutting shear forces in a particular direction. The impeller, the split ring and the connecting element are manufactured from metal, plastic or ceramic. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a component with a split ring. |
