The invention relates to a process for preparing a modified natural rubber comprising the following steps: a) a step of oxidation of the natural rubber leading to the generation of an oxidized natural rubber, then b) a step of reaction of the oxidized natural rubber with a modifier of the following formula (I): n being an integer greater than or equal to 1, X being an oxygen atom or a group selected from alkylene, arylene, aralkylene, alkylenoxy, arylenoxy and aralkylenoxy groups, R being a group that is interactive with respect to a reinforcing filler. |
