The present invention is provided with: parallel converters in which a plurality of converters corresponding to a plurality of phases are connected in parallel to an output terminal of a rectifying circuit and each of the plurality of converters has a reactor, as well as a switching element and a diode connected in series to the reactor; a control circuit that generates a plurality of pulsed signals corresponding to the plurality of phases on the basis of an error voltage between the output voltage of a smoothing capacitor connected to the output terminals of the parallel converters and a reference voltage, as well as the output voltage of the rectifying circuit, and that turns on/off the switching elements in the plurality of converters according to the plurality of pulsed signals; and a plurality of current detectors that are provided so as to correspond to the plurality of converters and that detect electrical currents flowing in the switching elements. The control circuit improves the power factor and protects the switching elements on the basis of the electrical currents detected by the plurality of current detectors. |
