The present invention relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a method of controlling equipment and device using the same. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring model identification information of the equipment to be controlled, wherein the model identification information is configured to identify a production manufacturer and an equipment type of the equipment to be controlled (Step 101); acquiring, according to the model identification information, a control interface configured to control the equipment type of the equipment that is manufactured by the production manufacturer (Step 102); and controlling, via the control interface, the equipment to be controlled (Step 103). The device comprises: a first acquisition module (301), a second acquisition module (302), and a control module (303). The method and device acquire, by the equipment type of the equipment to be controlled, the control interface configured to control various functions included in the equipment to be controlled, and control, via the control interface, the various functions in the equipment to be controlled. |
