This technology relates to an information processing apparatus and method that allow for proper remapping, as well as a program therefor. An offset-angle calculation unit calculates an offset amount at a position of a reference screen from a reference position in the front direction of a user, and a position-information correction unit corrects, on the basis of the offset amount, positions of audio objects with respect to the reference position so as to match the position of the reference screen. An object remapping unit remaps the positions of the audio objects so as to match the position of a playback screen on the basis of the corrected positions of the audio objects. This technology can be applied to an information processing apparatus. |
