Provided are: a polyethylene film for packaging which has low water vapor permeability, good printing processability, heat sealing properties, excellent dead-folding properties and ability to maintain a crease, and excellent blocking resistance and transparency; and a polyethylene film for overlap packaging. Through the present invention, a heat sealing layer having a total thickness of 0.2-2.5 µm and comprising an ethylene-(meth)acrylate copolymer or a neutral salt thereof is provided on one or both surfaces of a base film obtained by uniaxially stretching, by a factor of 6-16, an unstretched film for packaging comprising a resin composition containing 100 parts by mass of high-density polyethylene and 25-75 parts by mass of low-density polyethylene, and a polyethylene film for packaging is thereby obtained having low water vapor permeability, good printing processability, heat sealing properties, excellent dead-folding properties and ability to maintain a crease, and excellent blocking resistance and transparency. |
