An athlete management apparatus for managing the state of an athlete by assessing an injury risk of the athlete in conjunction with a protector equipped with a sensor for sensing biometric data of the athlete comprises: a communication unit for receiving the biometric data from the protector and transmitting the injury risk to the protector; a memory for storing a program for managing the state of the athlete by assessing the injury risk; and a processor for executing an operation embodied in the program in conjunction with the communication unit and the memory, wherein the program comprises instructions for assessing the injury risk of the athlete by using the biometric data and pre-stored biological recovery capability data of the athlete.
