The present invention provides a method and device for searching a program, the method adopts that: video streams, audio streams and program list information of program contents are abstracted to obtain program character information thereof, the program character information includes at least one of the followings: character keywords, voice keywords, music keywords and program content keywords, and searching is performed according to the program character information. Problems of complex searching operations, incomprehensive searching results and poor timeliness of a playing system are resolved, and accuracy and facility of searching are improved. |
