A linear motor magnetic field unit 2 is provided with multiple first permanent magnets 22a, 22b having a rectangular shape in planar view and arranged in parallel on a back yoke 21 such that the magnetic poles thereof are reversed from one another and two second permanent magnets 23, 23 that have polygonal shapes in planar view, are identically shaped and the widths of which narrow in the direction of the parallel arrangement, tapering from one side to the other side along a direction that intersects the direction of the parallel arrangement, arranged with the tapering directions thereof inverted from one another on both sides of the parallel arrangement direction of the multiple first permanent magnets 22a, 22b. Via this configuration, a linear motor, etc. capable of reducing detent force, including secondary components, is provided. |
