It is presented a method for allocating cloud computing resources (22a, 22b) in a cloud computing environment (21). The method is performed by a scheduler server (20) and comprises the steps of: causing determination (42) of a weight for each of a plurality of hosts (23a, 23b, 23c), in dependence on current resource utilization and predicted resource utilization; and causing allocation (43) of a cloud computing resource (22a, 22b) in dependence on the determined weight.
