The purpose of the present invention is to render the step for removing the insulating covering unnecessary for molding-equipped electric wires that contain insulated conductors. A molding-equipped electric wire equipped with a wire-shaped conductor part, a terminal connected to the end of the conductor part, a molding part for covering the connecting section between the conductor part and the terminal in a manner such that the terminal projects from one end side thereof and the conductor part projects from the other end side thereof, and an insulative covering section for covering the periphery around the molding part and the conductor part, and having heat-shrinkable tubing shrunk therearound, wherein: the outer-circumferential surface of the molding part has a first step section formed thereon that extends in the circumferential direction and projects in a manner such that the other-end-side section thereof is more present on the outer-circumferential surface side than is the one-end-side section thereof; and the end of the covering section is attached to the first step section.
