To provide a liquid crystal display device whereby flicker can be further reduced. The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device having a control unit that controls luminance of a backlight by means of PWM dimming. The backlight is provided with n-system (n≥4) backlight blocks that are lit at different timings, and the n-system backlight blocks are lit in an order different from a physical alignment order of the backlight blocks.
