Disclosed in an embodiment of the invention is a proximity service (ProSe) communication authentication method capable of simplifying an authentication process and increasing authentication speed. The method comprises: sending, by a monitoring UE, a first discovery request to a first PF entity, the first discovery request carrying a ProSe Application ID of a broadcast UE; receiving a first discovery response message fed back by the first PF entity, the first discovery response message carrying a proximity code of the broadcast UE; receiving a discovery message carrying a message signature value and a proximity code, wherein the discovery message carries a digital certificate of the broadcast UE and the digital certificate comprises a public key, or the first discovery response message carries the digital certificate of the broadcast UE; and if the proximity code of the broadcast UE is identical to the proximity code carried by the discovery message, determining, by the monitoring UE, validity of the discovery message. Also disclosed are a user equipment for realizing the ProSe communication authentication method and ProSe function entity. |
