EPIDURAL CHECKPOINT

The present invention relates to an epidural checkpoint which is used in lower body anesthesia for mitigating lower body pain in a patient when surgery such as a caesarean section is required, etc., wherein when an injection needle is inserted into an epidural space portion of the spine and a drug such as an anesthetic is administered through a tube, the epidural checkpoint detects the state in which the injection needle is accurately positioned in the epidural space portion and enables the administering of the drug to be quickly and accurately carried out. The epidural checkpoint is characterized by comprising: an epidural pressure sensor unit which detects in an electrically insulated state 19.456.7 mmHg which is a body pressure signal generated respectively at the muscles and epidural space of a human body, directly inputs and measures same, detects the respective differences in pressure, and converts the differences into electrical signals and outputs same; an epidural pressure differential amplification unit which inputs the levels of signals detected by the epidural pressure sensor unit and amplifies same at a set amplification rate; an epidural pressure comparing unit which inputs the signals amplified by the epidural pressure differential amplification unit and the amplification rate, respectively, compares the signals to a reference signal stored in a state corresponding to the amplification rate, and determines whether the values are large values or small values; an epidural pressure latch unit which inputs signals output by the epidural pressure comparing unit and stores same; and an epidural pressure display unit which emits light of one color selected from red and green according to the signals outputted by the epidural pressure latch unit. Thus, there are the advantages of conveniently and quickly finding the position of an epidural space, improving the accuracy of a treatment, and reducing treatment time.
