Provided is a carbon nanotube web production method that includes: a step for preparing a carbon nanotube array comprising a plurality of carbon nanotubes disposed on a substrate and oriented perpendicular to the substrate; and a step for pulling out from the carbon nanotube array a carbon nanotube web formed by a plurality of single carbon nanotube fibers being pulled out so as to be disposed in parallel. In the step for pulling out the carbon nanotube web, the carbon nanotube web is swung in a direction intersecting both the thickness direction of the substrate and the pull-out direction of the carbon nanotube web.
