In this surveilled person surveillance system, a terminal device that can display a moving image generated by a sensor device is notified, via a central processing device, of a prescribed event taking place at the sensor device. This central processing device and method involve storing in a storage unit a motion video observation time interval, which is a time interval in which the motion video can be observed live if notification of the prescribed event has been received; transmitting to the terminal device the motion video observation time interval that was stored in the storage device; and prompting the terminal device to display the motion video on a live basis for the duration of the motion video observation time interval, if notification that the prescribed event is taking place has been received.
