PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a contact gap in an off state in simple structure.SOLUTION: A breaker has a bimetal 8 arranged between a movable metal strip 6 having a movable contact 7 and a fixed metal strip 4 having a fixed contact 5, and has the movable contact 7 and the fixed contact 5 in positions opposite to each other. The movable metal strip 6 includes a pair of projecting portions 6C projecting toward the bimetal 8. The breaker turns on when the bimetal 8 is in a non-deforming state where it does not thermally deform to place the movable contact 7 in contact with the fixed contact 5, and turns off when the bimetal 8 is in a deforming state where it thermally deforms until the projecting portions 6C come in contact with the bimetal 8 to separate the movable contact 7 from the fixed contact 5. The breaker further has the pair of projecting portions 6C spaced in the longitudinal direction of the movable metal strip 6 and spaced sideways from a centerline m extending in the longitudinal direction of the movable metal strip 6. |
