PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic carrier which achieves a longer service life of a developer by improving adhesiveness of a coating resin to a carrier core surface and by suppressing peeling or scraping of a resin coating layer, and which can give stable charging property and excellent image quality.SOLUTION: The magnetic carrier includes a resin coating layer formed of a resin composition on a surface of a magnetic carrier core. The resin composition has such properties that: (i) the composition has a storage modulus G' of 1.0×10Pa or more and 1.0×10Pa or less and a loss modulus G" of 1.0×10Pa or more and 5.0×10Pa or less at a temperature from 90°C to 150°C; (ii) a loss tangent tanδ represented by (loss modulus G")/(storage modulus G') shows a maximum in a range from 90°C to 150°C; and (iii) when a common logarithm (log(tanδ)) of the loss tangent tanδ at the maximum described above is denoted by P, a temperature Tl (°C) on a lower temperature side and a temperature Th (°C) on a higher temperature side, both corresponding to P-0.15 of log(tanδ), satisfy 30≤Th-Tl≤60. |
