PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel enzyme having a hydrolytic action to a glycerol-3-phosphodiester such as a glycerol-3-phosphocholine (GPC), and to provide a production method of the same.SOLUTION: An enzyme (GPC-CP) with a hydrolytic action to a glycerol-3-phosphodiester includes either: a polypeptide containing a specific amino acid sequence; a polypeptide containing an amino acid sequence in which one or a plurality of amino acids are substituted, inserted, deleted and/or added in the specific amino acid sequence, and having hydrolytic activity; or a polypeptide having at least 80% of homology with the specific amino acid sequence, and having hydrolytic activity.
