PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article distribution device that does not require route change means to be operated when it is not necessary to change the route of an article.SOLUTION: The article distribution device comprises plural pushers 11 which engage with an article 1 transported by a transportation conveyer 2 to change a route of the article 1. The pushers 11 are provided on a lorry 9 which is driven in a circulating manner along an endless circulation passage 8 via a link mechanism 10, and a cam follower 24 of the link mechanism engages with a cam rail 25 to actuate the pushers 11 according to the engaged shape. The lorry 9 is driven on the circulation passage 8 by a linear motor formed of a permanent magnet 16 and an electromagnet coil 17. A controller 6 controls the route of the article by making the pushers engage with the article, by moving the lorry so as to follow the movement of the article. Thus, even when articles are transported in a random manner, the route of an intended article can be changed at an optimal timing. |
