PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction drive transport device that can use all the transport carriages in one transport section as a transport device being driven at a constant speed in an abutted state by friction drive means at the beginning of the transport section.SOLUTION: A friction drive transport device is provided, the device including: a transport carriage 1 supported so as to be able to move freely along a travel route; and friction drive means propelling the transport carriage 1 along the travel direction. The transport carriage 1 is provided with at its middle position between its right and left lateral width, a right-left pair of main longitudinal members 29a, 29b extending along the whole length in the travel direction in a bilateral symmetrical manner. Between two transport carriages 1 adjacent longitudinally in a travel direction, the right-left pair of main longitudinal members 29a, 29b are abutting on each other, and the propelling force is transmitted from the back side transport carriage 1's right-left pair of main longitudinal members 29a, 29b to the front side transport carriage 1's right-left pair of main longitudinal members 29a, 29b. |
