The coupling unit has a measuring unit that detects the operating torque. A clamping element is regulated in machine operation. A control unit (40) is provided, which allows a threshold torque between the coupling parts in current operation by regulating the force or the pressure. The force is applied on the coupling parts by clamping element and the pressure is applied on the coupling parts by the clamping element. An independent claim is also included for a method for setting a threshold torque of an overloading unit of a slipping clutch.
