System and method for user modelling to enhance named entity recognition

The generator has a named entity (NE) identifier that receives information from a set of different sources. The identifiers identify named identities in the received information. A portion of the information corresponds to a specific group of users. An analyzer (216) calculates probabilities associated with the identified named identities to obtain a group-specific NE list with associated probabilities. An independent claim is also included for a method of generating a named entity (NE) model.
