PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating device having a light-emitting element which achieves both broadening of an effective light-emitting region and uniformizing of luminance in the effective light-emitting region.SOLUTION: An illuminating device 100 includes: a light-emitting element 110; a holder 120 for covering the light-emitting element 110; and a light guide rod 130 held by the holder 120. The holder 120 includes a light source opposite part 122 which reflects emitted light of the light-emitting element 110 to an end surface of the light guide rod 130 held by it. On an outside surface of the light source opposite part 122, a transmissivity adjustment sheet 124 is arranged. The transmissivity of the light which emits to the outside of the holder 120 passing through the light source opposite part 122 from the inside of the holder 120 is adjusted to be lower than the transmissivity of the light which emits to the outside of the holder 120 passing through a holding part 123 adjacent to the light source opposite part 122 by the transmissivity adjustment sheet 124. |
