A diverter (200), a cooking chamber (120) and cooking apparatus (100) including the diverter (200) is capable of diffusing liquids, semi-solid substances, and the like. The diverter (200) includes a diverter plate (210) and an orifice (220) that projects from a surface of the diverter plate. The orifice (220) has an open sidewall portion. The diverter further includes a recessed portion (260) formed in the diverter plate (210), extending from the orifice (220), and a bumper portion (230) that projects from a surface of the recessed portion (260) and is disposed proximate to the orifice (220). The cooking chamber (120) includes a heating element (1710), a wall, an inlet port (1610) formed in the wall, and a cooking chamber fitting disposed adjacent to the inlet port (1610). The cooking apparatus (100) includes a cooking chamber (120), a filter pan (110), a filter pump, and an inlet port (1610) formed in a wall of the cooking chamber (120). |
