PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having a pest control efficacy.SOLUTION: A trans ester compound obtained by reacting trans-2,2-dimethyl-cyclopropane carboxylic acid having a particular unsaturated group in 3-position, or reactive derivative thereof, with 5-methoxy-methyl-2-furan methanol or 5-methoxy-methyl-2-thiophene methanol. A pest control agent contains the compound as active ingredient. A method for controlling pest by applying an effective amount of the compound to pest or habitat thereof. |
