PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of preventing erroneous detection of torque abnormality of a vehicle without being affected of circuit tolerance or the like due to temporal timing of input processing from an accelerator sensor and characteristics of each component.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device for controlling drive of a vehicle includes: a control part which calculates target torque of a vehicle on the basis of a first accelerator opening calculated from a detection value of an accelerator sensor; and a monitoring part which calculates allowable torque of the vehicle on the basis of a second accelerator opening calculated from the detection value of the accelerator sensor, and switches a first state where the allowable torque is calculated on the basis of the second accelerator opening to the second state where the allowable torque is calculated on the basis of the first accelerator opening in the monitoring part in accordance with the variation of input of the detection value of the accelerator sensor or variation of a stepping-on speed of an accelerator pedal. |
