PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of a system while simplifying the configuration, by utilizing the waste heat of fuel cell more effectively than conventional.SOLUTION: A multistage fuel cell system 10 has a fuel processing device 14 for producing fuel gas containing hydrogen by performing steam modification of material gas, a first fuel cell 11 for generating power by using the fuel gas supplied from the fuel processing device 14, a steam separation membrane 16 for removing steam in the state of gas, from off-gas discharged from the first fuel cell 11 and containing fuel gas not reacting therein, and a second fuel cell 12 for generating power by using regenerated fuel gas, produced by removing steam from the off-gas. The fuel processing device 14 modifies the material gas by using the steam removed by means of the steam separation membrane 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
