The invention relates to vacuum skin packaging process where a tray (10) loaded with a product (30) is closed by a film (40) positioned above the product loaded tray; the film (40) is a discrete piece of film having the size of the tray (10) thus reducing the amount of film which is scrapped during vacuum skin packaging. |
