PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample analyzer capable of improving ionization efficiency of a sample and also reducing a memory effect, and that enables analysis in a narrow space.SOLUTION: A sample analyzer 1 is configured such that a probe 2 is constituted by hollow optical fibers 11 and 12, and both emitted light 3a from a desorption/ionization laser 3 and emitted light 5a from a post-ionization laser 5 are guided to the hollow optical fibers 11 and 12. Consequently, since an interaction area and an interaction time between vapor of a sample S sucked through the probe 2 and the emitted light 5a can be sufficiently secured, an improvement in ionization efficiency can be attained. Then, desorption of molecules adsorbed to the probe 2 is promoted by using the emitted light 3a and the emitted light 5a, thus attaining a reduction in memory effect. Further, use of the hollow optical fibers 11 and 12 dispenses with a handpiece such as an electric scalpel and also flexibility of the probe 2 is secured, thereby enabling analysis in a narrow space. |
